05 STi looks ok in front pero what i don't like is the rear lights which looked like it was sourced from taiwan.

also the big "S U B A R U" emblem is deleted not only from the impreza but also for the facelifted forester.

As speedy said, the STI is a more comfortable daily driver.

So now, I'll try to give you a unbiased opinion. This is based on the various customer car EVO 8s I have tried in the States as compared to my STI

First of all, whatever you choose. Pareho good cars yan.

The EVO will handle better than the STI on the track. It is a no nonsense track day car with very little compromise. Obviously, they are very fast as well with capacity to even go faster with minor bolt-ons.

The STI is more tuned for daily driving, sacrficing a little handling prowess for a more civilized driving experience. Opt for the 2.5 US model and you will get mountains of torque na sobrang nakaka-addict. Add some "pink" springs to improve the handling nalang.

So the short answer is, if you are looking for an ultimate, no holds barred trackday machine and can live with the slight harshness, go EVO. If you are willing to trade a little handling for civilty, go STI. When I got the STI, I said to myself. I probably do not have the skill to fully exploit the EVOs maximum handling capability so I went for the more comfortable STI. Oh and when I say comfortable, I mean relative to the EVO. Of course, it is still not a Mercedes ha

i agree with you bro...the EVO is a little bit hard on the butts for city driving, my mechanic friend once told me that...

it's a very hard decision, like choosing between your two favorite ice cream flavors... he he he...

follow your heart, that's what i learned the hard way...

i also feel that if my car will perform well on the track, it should also do the same for street driving...albeit with sore buttocks and a jittery ride maybe...you may not need the super AYC all the time, especially in Manila, but it will make you feel better that you have the power within your reach, that you know if need be you can push the envelope further... ;)

if you have the resources, get them BOTH...that's the easiest (and horrendously expensive) way to solve a dilemma... ;) but if i had this sort of problem, maybe i'd pick the Evo...it has a special place in my heart...and i prefer squarish headlamps instead of rounded-off ones too... ;)

matching paint schemes: the Impreza: Justice
                                       the Evo: Freedom

watching too much Gundam Destiny may have effects on your driving...;)
