Gray area nga.  Depends on the extent of his "upgrades".  For example, evo 8 owner trades his OEM rear bumper for the JDM evo 9 rear bumper, ok lang yun. 

If its an evo7 tapos lahat pinalitan to look like an evo8 or 9, not a big fan of it.  Pero afaik, bihira lang gawin to.

Its a bit complicated, don't you guys think? Too much analysis leads to paralysis   

Its just  like this

A Poser / Wannabe = ricey

Evo 7 owner converts it to Evo 9 which makes it an Evo 9 wannabe

Hence, Evo 7 converted to Evo 9 is ricey?  :dontknow:


But...

A Lancer EX GTA puts in Evolution badges, Evo X wing, and paints front end with black paint to look like an Evo = Poser Evo/Wannabe

Hence, EX GTA Evo Wannabe = ricey!  :thumbsup:

Grey area nga! At the end of the  day though, an Evo is an Evo. IMO, even if the 7 was converted to a 9 except the MIVEC 4G63, it is still an Evo. Just add an MBC and you can even make that 7 more powerful than the 9.

Sir, what if its a lancer GT-A with a fabricated evoX bodykit, with 18's. The owner still kept the GT-A badge and didn't replace it with any evoX badges and such nor changed the original GT-A wing. Would that be considered as ricey?
I'm not saying it is or isn't  just a bit confused  The bodykit did look clean

Wow, read this thread upto 4am in the morning haha..just curious..How come camry boy's rims and plates weren't sprayed with paint?   :dontknow:  if it really was vandalized. (just curious)  Then again, if its just a new theme    I'll just stay quiet and wait for updates on this. 

My theory: despedida party for that color scheme, that's why the windows, rims, important parts weren't spray painted. Watch out for the new theme!

I hope that he'll FINALLY tone down his camry, but I think that won't be happening anytime soon.

Grey area pa ren. But if he did change that badge, then that would spell a huge difference. One advantage of the CT9A Evos as against the rest. You just cant dress a normal Lancer of its batch into a CT9A  Evo.

i remember a car here in our place, they vandalized it, spraypainted it, (the owner and his friends did it, i think) but after that day, i heard that it is in a paint shop na... maybe that camry will be repainted, again.....

Way I see it though, its just like a 95' Lancer wearing Evo III bodykits. Or even a 96' Lancer wearing CE9A  Evo bodykits kahit walang Evo badge. Those are usually considered as "wannabes" IMO.

Exactly! One of the things that irritates me is putting on a flashy bodykit, tapos doesn't even bother to change the wheels.. Hope the corolla owner doesn't plan on keeping his rims stock. Para kasing naka palda ung kotse.
