Got to try out the Sony Alpha DSLR at Abenson this afternoon coz I saw it on display. Ergonomics sucked. The camera felt like a point and shoot. The only plus factor for the camera would be the in-camera image stabilization. I'd put my money elsewhere.

astig yng image stabilization mechanism nya! saw a demo unit of how the thing works from the inside (i didn't know our hands were THAT shaky in trying to hold a camera steady no matter how hard we try!)  even how it shakes to get rid of the dust. as in talagang pinapagpag yng sensor!  ;D

Wow! Congrats on your new photo gear. Nice shots. Now you start to feel the burn with the lenses... hehehe.

i love the burn!  ;D

btw, speaking of lenses, i bought today a 75-300 canon lens.  ;D

so far i have two lenses

1. 18-55 canon
2. 75-300 canon

enough spending on the dslr for now. these two lenses should make me happy.... no wait! i still need to get a macro lens and an extra battery grip ;D

For me, I've set a definite long term goal at least for lenses.

Once I complete five golden rings, and the addition of a 50mm f/1.4 and an 85 f/1.8. I'm done.

I have a golden ring VR lens already at least. hehe. The other one on my list is VR as well. I guess that leaves my other gold ring and two future acquisitions non-VRs but the short focal lengths on those won't really need VR.

105 vr ba ? ;D or 200 vr? hehe nice! :D See you sat Brent ;)

You need a lens with macro capability, it might be hard to just add close up filters and extension tubes for macro shots. :) Eventually you'll want a macro dedicated lens.

Get a prime macro lens.

60mm f/2.8 or 100mm f/2.8

IMHO Canon doesn't have a 28-70 f/2.8. 24-70 f/2.8 ata sa Canon.
