Hi Guys,

Greetings!

Anyway I just dropped by to ask for your opinion and comment 'cause I'm about to buy an SUV and still undecided on which to take either Toyota Rav 4; Fortuner or Hyundai Sta. Fe. I had a Chevrolet Optra before and I observed that it's not anymore advisable to have a sedan especially for everyday use sa mga sira-sirang kalye natin d2.

Please help me decide considering the ff: Fuel Consumption; Over-all performance inc. safety and comfort; Re-sale value. My first choice was really a Toyota Rav 4 since I'm a lady driver, I prefer sana talaga mini-suv lang, hirap din kc ng masyadong malaki, but the problem i see w/ that auto is its fuel consumption. As for Hyundai Sta. Fe, m not sure pa sa performance nya kc bago lng tska resale value dko din sure, but the good thing is diesel sya and sophisticated ung design. For Fortuner, diesel din and it's toyota din so mdyo tested na talga ung brand, kaso me bad comments na rin about Fortuner like matagtag daw etc...

Hope you could help me decide by giving your comments for the above-mentioned vehicles.

Many thanks. God Bless!!

kyle

if i were you i would stick to mini suvs like the tribute, forester, xtrail, rav4,g vitara, or santa fe. baka mahirapan ka kasi since ur coming from a sedan. dont get the crv since dadating na yun new one.

Get the Rav4. 100% Japan made = bulletproof reliable

As my handle implies, I am partial to Hyundai vehicles. I would go for the Santa Fe in a heartbeat.

I concur with kyle when he said to go for smaller SUV's like X-Trail, Escape, etc. But more practical to get a diesel motor, so I suggest the Tucson, because it is unique in this class for having a diesel option (or so I think).

Hyundai quality has improved, don't fret. The Getz CRDi, compared to my Elantra, is a more refined and well-built machine.

For a lady driver, I suggest that you get the Santa Fe. The Rav4 is a close second.

Being a Fortuner owner myself, I must say na hindi talaga babagay sa babae yung Fortuner.

i think all of your choices are great pero since your coming from an sedan ... for me try to test drive the new subaru forester :) its the closest thing to a sedan na suv :) its really a fun to drive and im sure magugustuhan mo :) i think kasi your choices are medyo too bulky and too big if ever :)

the fortuner is really like a full sized suv, the rav4 is not as cuteute anymore malaki narin e ... the santa fe same as the fortuner, the xtrail medyo dated na ... although its also a very good choice :) then the crv, the new one is soon to come

try to go to subaru .. you might like the forester :) then take a look narin at the suzuki grand vitara :)

If you can wait, the new CR-V will definitely suit you. Honda designed their next CR-V with lady drivers in mind, that is according to them. :)
...and we 'drive' our cars on the 'parkway' and 'park' our cars on the 'driveway'...

Same here. from the three i'd go for the Santa Fe. I believe it has great suspension system with the adaptive electronic dampers. I'm not sure if it's the V6 variant that gets the 4x4 option. As for the Hyundai Tucson the CRDi variant has the 4x4.

A mini suv will suite you all good. ;)

...Some people get too hung up on hardware and technology and for

DTNS

I suggest the Santa Fe 2.2 CRDI or the Tucson 2.0 CRDI.

With your choices and criteria the Rav4, smaller than the other 2, better resale value, and the Rav4 was always a chick car for me. Else from your choices I'd choose the Santa Fe.

But to recommend I would say wait for the 07' CRV. Hopefully with my fingers crossed they bring in a diesel variant like Europe.

Any idea about the specs of the '07 crv and when will it be available to the market? Have they released any in other countries?

Yes just wait for the new CRV. They already released it a month ago here in Dubai.
