1. Driving it
Well, that should be a primary purpose because driving private vehicles are a necessity nowadays. Regardless of oil price increase and heavy traffic.

2. Owning/Having it
I'm still a regular school boy and no one really care about the model of what am I driving. As long as I bring in the wheels, it is still a definite advantage.

3. Dressing it up
This includes pampering your car as if it was your newborn baby. Everybody wants their cars clean right?

2. Maintenance is a forced answer, especially if your priority is the above.

3. I'd say adding a personal touch (making it unique/dressing up), even if just a little. I've bought a used car before, and the first thing I wanted to do was switch out the mags, which I identified with the prior owner.

Generally I modify it to suit my preference and improve driver and passenger safety.

1. Add foglamps (I prefer the Yellow ones)  to help me when driving in the rain , which I enjoy doing.
2. Wider tires for better grip on the wet and dry, if budget permits change the mags also.
3. Upgrade the tin-can sound system.

for me

1. dress it up meaning change wheels,lights,aero till the interior

2. engine - turbo or superchage it or make it faster

3. handling/brakes - strutsb,arms,bars,brakelines,bakess etc
