well, my friend went there last week to check out the outback...
the sales person was recommending him to get the sti while it was still a sedan because... so says the sales person that the sti hatchback will be out "very soon"
what could dat mean?

I guess it just means that there will be no more STi sedan

Yup, based on the initial info available, the next gen Impreza sedan is only for North America, and the highest version is the WRX, the next WRX STI, will be a hatchback.

I know it will grow on me but right now, it is so un-Impreza like. Looks more like a tail end of an Acura TL or the all new Nissan Sentra (N.A. version). Although it looks much better than the rear end of the Legacy. Ahh, what the heck! It will grow on all of us right?  :violent1:

I went to check out the all new WRX sedan a while ago in one Subaru dealership here in Vancouver. Although the rear end styling is questionable (scorned), the front end styling is not bad. Iba pa rin kapag nakikita mo sa picture vs. the real thing. The rear actually now looks like a Yaris sedan rear end (w/o the rear spoiler). Medyo napaganda lang (if you would say that) ng konti dahil sa dual chrome tailpipes and rear spoiler and skirts all around. The upside of the all new model is that the interior looks much more refined than the old one. The one I saw was a silver WRX. Even though its a whole lot different from its predecesors, I don't mind buying one. At the end of the day, its still a WRX.  :occasion14: Oh btw the hatch version looks better than the Mazda3 hatch

Anyway, its only for North America... so we probably won't see it in the RP, not unless its a gray market import.

the better looking 5-door will be their global model(thats what they say).

...and this includes the upcoming wide fendered "5-door only" WRX STI model.

True the Lancer looks meaner/more aggressive.
By the way, the Lancer Evo X will compete with the Impreza WRX STI(black car in the spy photo) not the regular WRX.
