Nga pala thanks so mga replies nyo before. nabili na namin yung Grandis. Sarap imaneho.

Pinagkaiba ng 2.0 S sa S-L...

SL - matic with paddle shift; S - manual tranny

only S-L has with side mirror side turn lamps; HID; chrome door handles; auto climate control; 6 cd in dash

05 pa lang Civic nyo papalitan nyo na agad  ??? why not keep it then buy the new one.

even with paddle shifters, your mom would still need to pull the lever from (P) park to (R) reverse to (D) drive. the paddle shift will only come into play if your want to shift manually while you are in (D) drive. i don't think your mom is the sporty driver is she? so i think 99% of the time naka-slot lang siya sa full-auto (D) drive.

thanks

actually the paddle shifters can only be used when its in "S" (sport mode) ata. if you guys can wait may dadating na 07 civic with stock 17" wheels (wheels straight from the acura csx). which is what im waiting for.

although i dont think its necessary to get a 2.0S-L. a 1.8S would do just fine for your mom. pero if u have the extra cash then why not!

Vanos

so may lalabas pa palang bagong civic na naka 17 na? kelan kaya?

Sir kyle no problem naman yung 2.0S-L  sa amin.

thanks

Honda Introduces Civic 2007

Honda Automobile (Thailand) today introduces the latest model in its line-up – Civic 2007 that comes with a dashing sportive appearance in attractive new Taffeta White, black tone interior, sportive fog lights and new design alloy wheels.

Honda Civic 2007 is available in two trims, 2.0L DOHC i-VTEC and 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC yielding 155PS at 6,000 rpm and 140PS at 6,300 rpm respectively. Both versions offer powerful performance while being friendly with fuel and the environment, having obtained an exacting EURO-4 certification for exhaust emissions. The acceleration and throttle valves are electronically controlled, so called Drive by Wire Throttle System, offering a more precise fuel and air mixture for all engine needs. The Civic 2007's engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission that responds smoothly in all conditions. Its EPS steering wheel, independent MacPherson strut in the front and independent reactive link double wishbone in the rear all contribute to an exciting driving experience, while the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system makes sure the car is in full control when either the front or the rear wheels skid.

The overall appearance is simply striking, thanks to its sportive lines from front to rear. The headlights' dashing form and the door mirrors with built-in blinker harmonize with the sportive rear light clusters. Inside the cabin, the instrument panel stands proud to display its double-deck indicators in Multiplex Meter style. The sportive three-spoke steering wheel incorporates a paddle shift providing instant finger tip control of gear speeds. To make all journeys near and far relaxing, the Civic 2007 offers a 6-disc CD changer module with 6 speakers all designed in harmony with the center console. Controls of the audio system are also laid out on the steering wheel for full convenience (standard equipment in selected models).

The Honda Civic 2007 comes with comprehensive safety systems, including G-Force Control technology (G-CON), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) that automatically support one another, not to mention the Brake Assist (BA), Dual SRS in the front and i-Side Airbags for maximum safety of all passengers.

you said kasi that the reason why you want the paddle shifter is that na-accident ang mom mo and her right arm is a bit weak. so what i was trying to point out is that paddle shift or not, kailangan pa din ng mom mo gamitin right arm niya para mag pull lever. which defeats the purpose of why you want to get the paddle shifters in the first place right?

i think the 1.8 would suffice the needs of your mom. it's the 1.8 version that people are saying that is economical.

1.8 S is a good buy... parehas rin naman maluwag sa loob and has the digital speedo.... pero syempre the 2.0S-L would be so much better especially for younger ones ;D

L means leather.  That's the only difference.

Ultimately, the final choice between Civic or CRV would depend on what you intend to use the car for.

A word of caution about Honda Alabang, ingat lang.  There have been many horror stories about their Sales and Service groups.  Best to shop around different dealers.  Perhaps you may want to shop between an Ayala-owned vs. Yuchengco-owned Honda dealer (since all Honda dealerships are split between these two groups anyway).
