Also read somewhere that Hyundai is also planning to release an enthusiast version next year. More power, less weight.

You can add the Audi RS4 as another porker.

I really don't care for the front end, but the car overall looks ok. At least they made it rwd.

Grabe, the V6 is as heavy as an STI. They really weren't concerned about trimming the fat  :-\

overall, the car looks nice... but wouldnt buy it, looks like a german/infiniti knockoff. IMO, they need to design their own shyte and stop copying other car designs

donutb0y

so the new hyundai coupe is not designed by pininfarina anymore?

hmmm... I bet chucking out the rear seats, sound deadening, and abs module would shave off a lot of weight from it!  :evil5: ;D

kyle

finally saw this car in real life this afternoon and let me tell you its a looker! :D almost as good looking as the old 350z maybe even better. but when i found out the price tag... tsk2... 3.8million pesos. much much more than a 370z. now who in the right mind would buy this over the 370z LOL i was guessing the price to be around 2.5m but damn 3.8m? come on hyundai.

The latest (estimated) Genesis Coupe prices going around the local forums...
Turbo M/T (base trim) P1.35M
Turbo M/T P1.55M
Turbo A/T P1.65M
V6 M/T P1.75M (P1.735M acccording to one Hyundai dealership)
V6 A/T P1.85M

Not bad at all, but i'm not a fan of the car's styling (those side windows, headlights and the narrow upper grill seem odd).

I guess they put that downward kink at the rear side window/beltline so it wouldn't look like an Infiniti G37 Coupe from the side...  :D

whoa, this car is less than 2M? nice... im not sure with my facts but i read that this has 300 hp in it? correct me if im wrong sirs.

Crazy Eyes

I also read from some report that its 300+hp.  Not bad kung 1.8M.  So competitor ba niya yung mga sti or wrx lang?  I like how it looks pero mukhang mabigat yung coupe...

The Coupe is on display at the ground floor of the KPMG building along Ayala Ave (The one with the Sbarro on the 2nd floor).
