i find it difficult to use especially when texting. its touch screen and the keyboard is laid out like a typewriter. its too small for my thumb i always push 3 keys at a time.

i might get one eventually when the price starts to go down and when i have some extra money.

i think apple sells 'unit only' but before i buy one ill test it first with my smart sim. i want to get one for my younger brother.

one thing that makes me hesitant to get this is the internal battery system. i mean cmon... palm and treo made pda phones with internal batteries... and it was a really big problem. Good thing they changed it to an eternally removable battery system.

sorry but all iphones as of now are locked to at&t subscirbers in the us. Asian release is still firstquarter of 2008.

i doubt it if greenhills can unlock this though. hehehehe

This is just for now. Wait till the Asian version comes out. Tentativly Jan 2008. By then it'll probably be 3G, have a better camera, and all the gen1 bugs would have been worked out.

For now, those that have them here can use them as an iPod and a portable internet tablet. (no phone function yet). Expect the hackers to unlock the phone soon, though.

im sure someone from manila will figure out how to unlock it. yah that was what i was told, you can use it as an ipod along with its internet functionality. maybe i should just wait..

mga alang alam sa tech na akala nila na over the best ang iphone ang bibili... grabeh what a disapoint with that phone. no video capabilities of its 2 mp camera, edge and wifi are the only means of connecting to net "no 3g". no SDK released for programmers so not so much apps will be made. lastly, hard to replace battery. the only thing that best of it is the interface, ipod video, 4 and 8 gig capacity and thats it. you can compare it with windows vista.... too much expectations but too much to disapoint.  :thumbsup:

^Sa tingin ko, hindi muna nila ilalagay lahat sa first gen yung mga features like 3G, video recording, etc. Probably sa 2nd gen idagdag yung features na yun. Parang marketing strategy na din nila siguro.
