Guys, I'm planning to buy a pickup truck na base model lang. My options are Toyota Hilux E 4X2 2.5 D4D , Mitsubishi Starda GL 2.5 CRDi, or Isuzu D-Max 3.0 4x2. Please advise me naman about thier riding comfort, power, strong resale value and yung quality. Thanks.

Please correct me nalang kung mali ako. thanks.

Toyota Hilux 2.5D-4D  J
Isuzu D-Max LS 2.5 (using the 81PS 4JA1 2.5 turbo non-intercooled)
Mitsubishi Strada 2.5 4x2 (Di-D ata to.)
Ford Ranger 2.5  (using the previous 117hp turbo-intercooled 2.5 diesel)

the 3.0 4x2 LS is still available. but the base model of the D-Max lineup is now the 2.5 4x2 LT with the 81PS 4JA1 2.5 turbo non-intercooled diesel engine. it's pretty expensive for a base model pickup at P805,000.  :-\  I'd rather have the Hilux 4x2 2.5 J for less.  ;)

Thanks.

Sir, oliverEX. i own a 2007 strada GL. Very strong engine, more powerful than 2.5 diesel DMAx and 2.5 diesel Hilux. Don't know about  the Ford 2.5 diesel thou. I am very satisfied, for my choice it was the better choice as compared to the toyota hilu and Isuzu Dmax because mainly by the stance/height plus better engine, good looks, good suspension, Great price, good interior plus right now Mitsubishi is having a 20K cash discount for its strada. Value for money it is the winner. The ford 2.5 diesel ranger is ok sana but i never had any good experience with any Ford cars we previously owned. Ford cars, SUV, pickups are good sana but tend to break down easily, parts are sooo expensive and resale value is very low.
So the Strada GL at a little over 800K is the best priced pick-up in the market. You can also try checking out the Strada 4x2 GLX. its only 70K more than the GL model but it has airbags na, better stereo, bumper, mags, bedliner, foglights, etc. If you plan to use it for family use then the GLX may be a better option and its still almost the same price as the base model of the DMAX and HiLux.
Mitsubishi is tested na for offroad and rough use, ok naman yung strada plus resale value is very high too.

Thanks Ale828. I'm thinking of the Strada GL talaga. kaso I'm waiting for feedbacks, baka mas maganda ang isa sa isa. I mean 4 to 5 years from now. Thanks.

if hilux 4x2 medyo mhina mkina pero madali lng palakasin eto, intake, exhaust and chips..if yuo want to have 4x4 looks..madali lng din un gwin sa hilux..khit lagyan mo pa ng malaki gulong madali pa rin e2 ma compensate by regear..yuo can even have an LSD installed on yuor 4x2 hilux... ;)
