1. Why do you play this game? Do you think this game helps you learn to drive or it helps you get better at driving?
2. Do you consider this game a ?Driving Simulator?? If yes, why?
3. Do you think playing this game is beneficial to driving? . Considering that this game is supposed to be a Driving Simulator.
4. Does this game give you any 'risk taking behavior' when you drive? Does this game let you drive more reckless? (speeding, racing, reckless driving, etc) If yes state what.

Hey cool :) ! Me first :D !

1. I play it because it's fun and I love cars. It does help to some degree by being more aware of situations while driving on the road
2. No I don't
3. Yes it is but only in the situation I stated in question No. 1
4. It doesn't make me more reckless in driving since the feel of other physical dynamics during real driving cannot be replicated by this game.

1. Honestly, its a great game, period. If you even remotely like automobiles or racing, its value and fun-factor increase exponentially :). It does get you better at racing and it does make you a better driver, albeit to a lesser degree.

2. Driving simulator? Its the closest you'll get if you don't drive yet.

3. Yes. Simulators are effective, no matter what degree of realism. Fighter pilots, astronuats, race car drivers--hell, even heavy machinery operators--use them for acclimation or just plain old practice. Naturally, adaptability to the simulator itself is important too. Your grandfather would have a hard time coming to grips with "playing" the game even though he might have been driving all his life. I would think it helps if your partial to playing videogames.

4. Like any form of media, it can encourage or supress certain, uh, tendencies. But if your just an idiot behind the wheel, simulated or not, your gonna hurt yourself, your wallet, and others.

Forget about gt4. Try the gt5 prologue. It brings a new defefinition to realism. I just wish they already implement car damage.

1. Fun!  It does help one become a better driver (esp on the track) bec you get to enhance your hand-eye coordination (esp with a steering wheel).
2. Yes, but only to a certain degree and if you have a wheel not a joypad
3. Yes. Beneficial to race driving -- again, hand-eye coordination, improved reaction times, learning the racing lines.
4. Of course..  when on the track and when racing only.  On ordinary roads, I'm still cautious bec of other drivers, pedestrians.

I've been a fan of GT since it's early days.  Car selection is very good, no Ferrari though.

2. Do you consider this game a ?Driving Simulator?? If yes, why?

Yes for me to some extent it is a driving simulator, but you need to be very keen in playing the game and choosing cars to be able to notice the difference, and also, if you have the chance, driving the real thing may also help in justifying whether it's a true driving simulator or not.

3. Do you think playing this game is beneficial to driving? . Considering that this game is supposed to be a Driving Simulator.

Just read the disclaimer on the opening credits of the game. It's not meant to be used as a substitute to the real thing, and, as a learning tool. It's more of a game and "pamatay oras".

4. Does this game give you any 'risk taking behavior' when you drive? Does this game let you drive more reckless? (speeding, racing, reckless driving, etc) If yes state what.

For me matalino at aggressive ang AI ng GT4, pag binangga mo, babanggain ka rin. hehehe. I'm sure you won't do that in real driving. Actually there's a technique in playing GT4 regardless of the car used. For me, throttle/brake control is the one thing that you can put into good use while playing GT4 and on the road.
