mga sir is it ok to use motul engine oil on a chevrolet tahoe v8? kasi napansin ko lang mostly mga compact at sports car lang gumagamt nito, kasi ung tahoe namin kailangan kailangan na i change oil at  tanong ko na rin anong magandang spark plugs para dito. due na kasi para sa 30k pms ito,

saan ba ok ung mura at mabilis . taga pasig po ako so anywhere near the area is a good suggestion

Of course it'll work on a V8.

We use 8100 X-Cess on our LX470 (4.7 V8) and it's running perfectly fine
In a world of compromise, some don't.

The 8100 X-cess retails for 640 a liter.

Prices for lubes are the same in all dealers as they all follow SRP. You can try either Autoplus in EDSA, Emperor in Oritgas Home Depot, or the shop at the back of Metrowalk.

I agree! mas mura sa dealer bumili! ;)  but NEVER BUY Motul from hardware stores like True Value or ACE Hardware! They're overpriced there!  :protest:

boxtype_r,

I suggest you try the new H-Tech 5W30. big American engines usually recommend using 30W oil.  :)

Actually 5W20. ;) In Bob Is The Oil Guy a lot V8 take this viscosity. This is also in light of some sort of energy conservation act in the US. A sudden switch of oil weight implemented by casas, e.g. offering change oil from *W40 to *W30, as OE engine oil was a surprise to most car owners which frequent for service.

So Motul is absolutely good for your V8. Check on the ratings specified by the manufacturer na lang.

you're right! I know the Ford Mustang GT V8 uses 5W20 oil.  ;)

The local V6 Ford Escape also specifies 5W20 viscosity.

It really dispels the notion that in the PI you can only use *W40 ( and higher viz oils only).

speedyfix

pick the correct viscosity muna though... using the wrong one will make the engine run not as efficiently as it was designed to.
