My lights used to flash whenever I armed or disarmed my car alarm but all of a sudden they don't light up anymore. Everything else still works and I can still hear the relays for the lights clicking when I use it.

Is this something I can DIY? What and where should I check?

Check the alarm fuse and  car fuse box. Might just be a defective fuse.

ganto din yung saken, ngayun mas malala na  kase kahit na buksan e pati tunog wala na din  , meron lang arm and disarm pero yung engage alarm na sumunod na sa no lights nangyari.

update ko pag effective yung fuse

changing a fuse fixed it. the electrician also suggested not to use my fog lamps too often. i don't remember his explanation that clearly but it was something about the fog lamps being turned on along with the park lights (everything that turns on when the park lights are turned on are what flashes when the alarm is used) and the fog lamps don't have a fuse of it's own so it gives the fuse extra work so it get's busted earlier and if you put a fuse for the fog lamps the current will end up messing something else... i really don't know why but I trust the guy so i don't use my fog lamps that much... wala rin namang fog dito sa pinas eh

labo...hehe

If theres no fuse for the fog lamp then it should turn on when you arm/disarm since its directly connected to the voltage source... blowing up the fuse for the main light "will not/should not" cause the fog lamps to not work as well...your fuse blew up because of current overload.

(I think) the reason why all your lights are not turning on including the fogs is because the fuse that blew is the one at the alarm system. That fuse(from the alarm) is connected to the lighting system of the car(w/c has a separate fuse) thats supposed to turn on everytime you arm/disarm. The fogs will turn on if the fog light switch is in "on" position because the alarm triggers the whole lighting system to turn on.

To correct the problem you need to make sure the ratings of the fuse from the alarm is the same as the one under your fuse box.

heheheh o nga eh, nag sayang lang ako ng post hehehhee, i didn't completely understand it then plus it was like a couple of weeks ago and i was sleepy then (heheheh palusot). what i was just able to absorb was that using the fog lamps too much did it. but the thing is I've been using the alarm with the fog lamps switched on for like almost 5 years so.... ok lang yan, fuse lang naman eh.
