short shifter - it does what its name implies.it shortens yung distance travel from one gear to the other.its usually just used for those using their cars for racing: drag, circuit, etc.if you have a daily driven car, then its not needed.  :)

My experience with a short shifter for my race car was not so good.  Since it increases the effort a little cuz the lower arm is longer, there's more chances of mis-shifting.  Related to it is you could damage your synchro's more as it is not as precise as the stock shifter.  So in theory, whereas the short shifter will definitely allow quicker shifts, in actuality, it may or may not be practical in the long run as you can mis-shift more often and damage your gears.  I removed it and went back to stock using Type R shifter and poly busihings.

There is no dishonor in losing the race. There is

for me its the other way around. i sometimes have difficulty shifting using the o.e. shifters in spirited driving.
i love my short throw shifters. for me its more precise and of course the shifting is quicker.

+1... mine is notchier and feels better shifting with it than stock

more often than not, the cheaper taiwan shifters are awful. the ones from b&m and c's are pretty good though.

shorter people benefit more from short shifters..... because of  their shorter arms.... hehe joke!

seriously, i like short shifters.... if your synchros dont have a problem, mis-shifts shouldnt be an issue

i love the solid feel i get from my  b&m shifter. very little chance of sticking it in the wrong gear. plus it makes this really cool "sshlikt" sound that tells you its in..... :D

anu ba pinapalitan dun? buong assembly ba?yung b&M brand ba yun?salamat

speedyfix

normally it's the whole shift lever. in some cases like the fd civic it is just a few billet washers that are needed.

depends on the car.
