Good day! What air filter will fit a Simota tube for 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer GLi? By the way what do you call that part that connects the tube from the engine to the air filter tube? because it doesn't fit anymore & it's missing. Finally, how does the Fuel pump works? How does it affect the car when it hasn't been replaced for a long time? I really wanted to fix this car & hopefully upgrade it to an Evo III someday. Is it possible?  :wav:

Most cone filters will fit a Simota tube. There are K&N and HKS filters with universal adapters.

Thanks! Niky for the help with the air filter. I google this brands you mentioned. They are made of cotton if I'm not mistaken. Is this better than foam like True Flow?

niky

Foam really doesn't flow all that well... sufficient, for most turbo guys, but a cloth or paper filter gives better flow for the amount of filtration.

I see. K&N got my vote then. It looks good as well. Thanks again! niky.

Just wondering where can I get an air filter tube?..just the tube. Another thing, I know K&N air filter is great and all. Just want to know any idea on Injen technology compared to K&N? and how much it cost here in the Philippines? Is it cheaper here than in US?
Thank you!

i don't think injen is being distributed loacally by anybody.

Ok. just hoping to know the difference. It's slightly cheaper than K&N. Anyway,it's an irrelevant question now. How much then will it cost locally for a cone type K&N filter with a 3" inlet;6" base;5" top and 5" in length? Thanks! speedyfix.

speedyfix

k&n's are normally around 4-6k for the conical filters depending on the size. :)
