Speed Sensor/Speedometer Problem

I have an 04 Altis Matic, I just noticed that my speedometer goes to zero when I hit a big bump when I am going 60 and above, then it immediately jumps back to normal after the bump.

When I am on normal driving conditions, even on a bumpy road, everything is normal.

Could it be just bad wiring? I think its the sensor cuz I feel the gear shift lower when this happens? If it is kelangan na ba ito palitan or madaan lang sa linis? It works fine as long as hindi ako malubak ng matindi.

I took it to a mechanic sabi kelangan daw kalasin yung transnmission kasi nasa loob yung wiring ng sensor, I even brought it to speedyfix kaso yung electrician had no experience with this. Anybody have the same problem? How did you solve it?

Ayoko dalhin pa sa casa since wala naman CEL and I am sure papapalitan nila agad yung sensor.

Any place where I can source this part in case I really have to replace it?

Need advice! Thanks!

Hi Macky.. I think lumuwag lang yung speed sensor mo after that hard bump
since everything's now normal huwag ka lang malubak ng matindi.

Have it checked by your trusted mechanic or at any servitek for 2nd opinions.

In case your speed sensor is damaged, you can get surplus ones at evangelista or banawe, costs 800-1200 php approx.

Hope this helps.

It happens every single hard bump eh, so i guess may maluwag nga or maybe a bad sensor, thanks!

Any shop recommendations in banawe and evangelista?

I got mine at KEMP auto supply, Evangelista for my accord exi A/T. Got it at 1.5K free installation tapos test drive. Some say you can get lower than 1K at Banawe pero ang layo naman sakin.. + fuel cost.. ganun din. Kung magloko pa, babalikan mo pa yung shop. Pero try to look for more stores, baka may magbigay pa ng mas mababa.
