hi! im just newbie sa larangan ng detailing, 2 weeks ago nagpawax w/ buffing machine ako sa carwash shop. So i found out na may swirl marks na yung auto pero akala ko normal lang yun sabi kasi nung friend ko who owns a carwash and detailing eh hindi normal na magkaka swirl marks because of the buffing machine. tanong ko lang mga bros kung madadaan ko pa din ba sa wax para matanggal yung swirl marks? any step by step procedures? many thanks!

Unless you refrain from washing/cleaning your car, swirl marks are a fact of life. You can use a Glaze/Polish to "mask" the swirl marks but eventually when the glazes or the waxes protecting the paint finish gets removed the swirl marks will show again.

I agree. It's very difficult, if not impractical, to maintain a 100% defect-free paint on daily drivers.

However, you could nevertheless address this problem of swirl marks, spiderwebbing, scratches, and other similar paint defects either by:

1) removing the swirl marks, spiderwebbing, scratches, and other similar paint defects via machine

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=66024

2) removing them by hand

3) filling / hiding them:

The more important goal is for you to *minimize* the risk of having these defects in the first place. You could do this by:

1) Practicing proper washing techniques

2) Practicing proper quick detailing techniques

I hope these guides help.  :)

kailan mo nakita na may swirl mark yung auto mo? before or after mo magpawax?

actually, Buffing machine can cause severe swirl mark if hindi marunong ang gumgamit or mali ang pads na gamit. nung binuff ano ang nakalagay sa buffing machine? napansin mo ba?

eric

Anong itsura nung mga swirls na nakita mo?  Para bang hologram?
If so, kasalanan yan nung nagbuff.  Holograms are caused by improper use of the rotary buffer.  (masyadong mabilis yung RPM at masyadong nagmamadali yung nagba-buff.)

Xer

i notice na lang after binuff..yung swirl marks nya para kang nag floor wax sa sahig na bilog bilog...

thanks sa mga input sirs..very informative!

That's generally true....

Pag kala-buff pa lang niyan, matatakpan ng wax yung hologram and you won't notice it.  You'll need to park under the sun or shine a strong light on your paint para muli mo.  After the wax wears off a bit...that's when you'll see the dreaded holograms.

The best action to take is -- bring your car to a different and more reputable detailer....
