my innova is still under warranty. i intent to have its next 5000km pms done outside casa since its cheaper outside. From what I have scouted in one shell gas station herein in Cebu a change oil for full synthetic will cost me only around 3.5k while in casa it would cost me almost 6k. will having a pms outside casa void my warranty. I already tried talking the manager in toyota if pwede bang magdala nang sariling oil sabi nya hindi pwede. so this is my dilemma...

check your contract... here in the US youre allowed to bring your car to wherever you want and do the oilchange yourself. as long as youre following the maintenance sched and you have the receipts to prove it they should honor your warranty if ever something happens. if something breaks and they dont wanna fix it, the dealer has to prove that the reason for your car breaking is coz you went to another shop/improper maintenance and whatnot... :)

its also good to contact the corporate office about this matter and tell them what the dealer is telling you. unless, you signed some papers that you have to do all the maintenance at the dealer or they will void the warranty if you didn't. remember, your business is important to them and they wouldnt want to lose a customer especially in this economy

Our Innova is also still under warranty and we have our oil changed sa casa, pumapayag naman sila that we bring our own oil.

I agree with Benj, this is your best option. If you have the service done in another shop your warranty will most probably be voided.

if you do it sa labas it will proably void it, but if you bring your own oil it shouldn't
