How far back do you want to go.

During my boyhood days, it was the Mitsubishi Saturn, CAM 3, CAM 6 C-3 etc... Weber 45 DCOEs, Toyota T series engines like the 2TG, 2T, 3T

Then naging box type with the with the 2000 and later 1800 Intercooler Turbo. Toyota had the 4AG.

My  early SEMA shows, all the rage was RS Akimoto, JG Engine Dynamics, Extrude Hone, DC Sports, DRAG turbo kits, Iceman intakes and Neuspeed for the VAG crowd.

we would simply knock on a car's door to engage the speaking viper alarm, then bike away as fast as we could.  trip lang namin ng mga kalaro ko noong bata pa ako. :D

as an eighties kid, i remember in philippine setting:
nodalos headers, dual-tip mufflers
double carburetors
ducktail spoilers, rear fog lights, "MMC" emblem on lancers
alarm with separate keyhole
solex keyholes
3rd and 4th square brake lights on rear windscreen
running brake lights ala knight rider lights
non-stock mudguards
pioneer stereo with circular mechanical display

later on:
2-inch exhaust tips
5zigen-style tips with foil sticker (as per jp_757's post)
wheels: momo typhoon, intra, a certain 5-spoke wheel design with rounded spokes, and another one with squarish spokes, bugatti wheels
redline racing sticker
velocity
kicker
adjustable "hydrau" suspension
3-way speakers
removed emblems (they no longer leave holes unlike in the 80's)

for me, the "baduy" cars started to come out in 1993.

...group 5.  team with one of the first boosted SiRs roaming libis back then.

...tsikot.com, where most car clubs were born.

I remember Group 5, near Shaw Blvd.

Also Mang Boy Teehankee's house nearby, where I got a dose of his 'tuning' and the wares that he sells. Very nice guy and quite a character, parang ala- Doc Emmet Brown.  ;D
...and we 'drive' our cars on the 'parkway' and 'park' our cars on the 'driveway'...

curious..ano na binebenta niya nung huli?  ;D

I remember he was one of the sources for Mallory wires and "drilled" spark plugs and Borg-Warner air filters that never needs replacement hehehe

got "schooling" from my dad back in the day:

our 76 corona, super lowered, 2T-G, twinside webers, arguably the (only) sexiest-sounding car in bulacan then.
his crew with other "kargado" cars:
galant colt station wagon (orange) with saturn engine.
their head tuner's starlet (yellow) with a 2T-G.

pag dim lights, single on pero naka high!

afternoons spent naka-tambay sa talyer, talking car stuff.

fun runs to tuguegarao, isabela, using two-way radios (icom) para maka-overtake sa zigzag roads, hetc..

practically all tuner parts were from japan, even the sidings had japanese instructions stuck to them!

practically our garaged then reeked of 2T-G parts and old school toyota items. ngayon wala na.sayang.
