About defoggers.

Hello to everyone.

We own a Crown and has a defogger on it's rear glass. We had the tint changed and we tried using the defogger after a while, and it doesn't work anymore.

Does it mean that when you put a tint on a glass that has a defogger and remove the tint, for sure the defogger's already broken?

there is a big possibility that removing the tint improperly by using some scrapping tool will damage or cut the heating element flat wires. If this happens, then your defogger is finished.

check the terminals, tint men usually disconnect the defogger terminals for easy access. termianls are located on either side of the window.

If it is plugged, then your defogger is gone. Ganyan nangyari sa kotse ko nung tinanggal ko ang tint, sumama yung defogger sa tint pag tanggal ko ayun di na gumana. I replaced the rear window.

kung naka plug yung mga terminals at di pa din gumana, palit rear glass na.

kaya ako ayoko na magpa tint, at kung papa tint man yung the best tint na yung hindi nag iiba ng color para wala na tanggalan.

sa SiR ko 4k ang bili ko sa surplus rear windshield, 2.5k yung rubber molding and 1.5k painstall sa aguila glass kasama ang 2 tubes na sikkaflex urathane based sealant.

me too my defooger isn't working,how much kaya ang pagawa? ???i can't see my rearview especially when its raining and the glass started to moist

Yeah man.

I came from Tagaytay the other day, my rear glass was hella moist'd.

I really had a difficult time parking backwards

yes, pag ang defogger mo damaged by removing the tint no way to repair, replace the rear glass lang.

pero there is a way to remove the tint with out damaging the defogger. Kelangan ingatan lang ng husto at gamitan ng heat gun and adhesive remover para lumambot yung pandikit ng tint. Also do not use metal scrapers. Use APC to clean the glass once the tint is removed.

i think my defogger is still intact because hindi naman ako napgpatint it's not working lang probably because electrical wirings

baka electrical. Check the fuse and relay. Check mo din kung nakasaksak yung terminals on either sides.

yup meron, conductive paint. But that is to repair a few cuts on the heating element of the defogger like pag natamaan ng sharp object yung isang line.

pero pag damaged dahil sa pag tanggal ng tint, sumasama sa tint yung heating element minsan halos wala natitira sa salamin.
