Hi bros.

Just encountered another problem with my newly-acquired (bought it only last July 2009) 2nd-hand 7G!   :'(

The tachometer (RPM gauge) is trickling slightly-above the 0 (zero) mark while I am on idle.
Also, when I shift to first gear from idle state, it does not rev as fast.  Even if I'm pedaling down the accelerator, it takes awhile for the car to move to 'normal' state.

Here is a photo of the tachometer while I'm on the said idle state:

This happens even if I turn off the air conditioning.
What should I have the mechanics check?  :'(  Your feedback is appreciated, hope you can share your inputs.

Thank you.  :)

Have it checked at Speedyfix. It must be a servo cleaning issue. I tried it and it worked like magic!

sir medyo related din naman po yung sakin pero speedometer ko po ang pumapalo maybe up to 60kmh, this happens every time i turn on the ignition lang naman pero after a few minutes ok na sya.. at first i disassembled the dashboard and sprayed wd40 sa sockets and harnessed wirings kaso n effect.. i inquired sa electrician sabi sakin purchase na lang daw ako ng surplus na dash sa banawe... hehehe, umalis na lang ako. :o

could be your speedometer sensor(VSS). hiram ka muna sa friend mo or anyone you know who has the same part then test. it'll take you few minutes only to swap that part.

sige sir try ko.. maraming salamat po, btw corolla xe 93 model po car ko.. may ganun na kaya yun?

isteb

had the same experience.. had the throttle body overhauled.. (cleaned) worked like magic.. i would like to assume you are using an aftermarket airfilter..

I can't tell, it's box-shaped. :(

If you have recommendations of a different Air Filter, please let me know, para habang may "bala" pa, palit lang ng palit. :)
