it will be a sad time when there will no longer be F1 cars with Japanese engines and Japanese drivers. :-[

with Honda, Toyota, and Bridgestone (in 2011) out, there will be zero Japanese involvement in F1! :o   I wonder if the Japanese GP will even remain on the F1 calendar for long...  :dontknow:

I think this is only temporary.  Japan is in its worst recession.  But they will be back eventually.  The Japanese love their motorsports.  It's just that F1 has become too expensive.  That's what a lot of the teams have been saying.  This is not a surprise.  Experts said a few years ago that teams will drop out eventually cuz budgets have become too huge to be economically viable.  The FIA knows this.  FOTA knows this.  They just have to figure out a way to manage the spending.  Its the same with all racing events...budgets have to be controlled or the grid will not grow.  This is just a dip in the business cycle.  We're gonna miss these teams though.  It won't be nice to see F1 with slow teams and fast teams again like before.  2009 was the best cuz every team was very close to each other.  It shouldn't be predictable like before.

There is no dishonor in losing the race. There is

Agree on this too. I hope this is temporary :(
