mga co-AI's okay ba gumamit ng flushing oil? sa pagchchange oil.. "para daw matanggal ang mga namuo na oil inside the engine" or straight change oil na lang?

THANKS!

I find it best to have regular change oil  and filter. No flushing, it is just additional cost. Just don't be duped into using oil additives which causes sludge formations in most instances.

ok.. thank you sir. really appreciate ur reply. :)

I've gotten good results with Motul Engine Clean in my Civic before. It balanced the uneven compression in the cylinders. This was measured by doing a leak down test before and after oil change. We were checking to see if the claims in the brochure were true. And indeed they were, felt slight improvement in performance and got better fuel economy afterwards.

If you car is relatively new, just use good oils and change regularly. If its already 50,000kms and up, it is advisable to use engine cleaners. Remember though, that not all engine cleaners or flushing lubricants are equal.

the Motul Engine Clean is not a flushing oil.
"- Engine Clean Auto:
PERFORMANCE:
MOTUL ENGINE CLEAN, added to engine oil before draining, allows to :
* lower the wear.
* decrease oil and fuel consumption.
* increase compressions on the same way on all the cylinders.
* decrease exhaust pollutants emissions.
* evacuate deposits, varnishes and other combustion residues from problem areas such as hydraulics. lifters or piston grooves and rings.
* take advantage of fresh oil which will fill engine after draining.
* increase catalytic converter's lifetime.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Before each oil drain, add, in the engine, a can of ENGINE CLEAN to hot used oil. Let the engine run at idle for 15 minutes. Drain the oil and change the filter.
The content of one can is sufficient for an oil capacity up to 5 litres. For higher capacities, 60 ml of ENGINE CLEAN is to be added per supplementary litre of engine oil (over 5 litres) . Do not exceed the recommended proportion. If necessary, proceed to 2 successive treatments.
Combined with DIESEL SYSTEM CLEAN or FUEL SYSTEM CLEAN, ENGINE CLEAN provides a very appreciable reduction of pollutants emissions to pass Vehicle Inspection."

Not all Motul dealers carry this. It is available in Autoplus, Bridgestone Tire Center Global City, and Motor Pro (D Tuazon, QC). It sells for 1500.

if you look at the procedure how to use motul engine clean, it looks like an engine flush. unlike auto rx which you add to your oil then use it as normal until next oil change. they have both the same price at 1.5K...brigdestone tire center global city is preferable to me.,thanks for the info sir brent! btw, where is autoplus?

you don't need to do it all the time. only in cases that the oil change interval was prolonged longer than necessary or if you have some gunk buildup na.

No need to use flushing oil, just change your oil.  But if you have a dirty engine, add a can of additive with high concentration of oil detergents and change your oil earlier than your usual service schedule.
