Hey guys, new to the forum.

Got an 06 350z; the HP is around the same ballpark so look at how difficult your life would be without backseats.

I'd get the genesis coupe if you need room for LIFE.

Nakakainis nga... un asawa ko lang ang pwede sumakay sa kotse ko.

kaya nga 2 doors lang sila sir.... they have their purpose. car pooling or as a family car is not one of them.

need room for LIFE? try a Van, SUV, AUV or Pick-Up

+1K lol.

350z is supposed to be a sportscar, not a family car.

ff tdci

genesis coupe for me! :) its a fast car and w/ its value for money it can give pleasure to car afficionados...

Crazy Eyes

Dumadami na mga Genesis Coupes.  The past 3 days I've seen 5

I guess because its one of the cheapest compact sports cars you can buy. The 2.0-liter turbo is priced almost like some Japanese sedans.

El

its a beautiful car relative to its price... it well equipped too, especially for the high end trims :)

Briefly drove the 350Z, and I liked the way it drives and how nimble it is for what seems like a heavy coupe. Never really liked the style or the interior trim though, and it IS quite expensive.

The Genesis Coupe was a revelation (Sorry, couldn't resist). Hyundai has never really entered the real sportscar market (the Tiburon doesnt count, its just a sports coupe), and the Genesis Coupe is the fruit of that effort. A great willingness to change direction, even in S-turns, a nice predictable powerband (in the 3.8L model we tested), and best of all, its only 1.8M. Brakes are the only thing that could use an upgrade, but apart from that, the car is truly well conceived and engineered.

yup! it makes the MINI Cooper's price seem overweight! hehe!  :evil5:

Just wanted to up this thread because I'm planning to purchase either of the two soon. My only problem is that it's so hard to find a local 350Z nowadays.

I think you won't go wrong with either of these cars. but if you're getting the 350Z, make sure its an original LHD with good papers and service history. ;)

Actually the local coopers nga seem a bit overpriced. Everywhere else in the world the cooper is positioned as a small car, albeit with good styling and a good badge. It's still priced as a small car, albeit with a little premium. Over here it's priced like a luxury car already.

Case in point:

US Market:
Cooper Hardtop: $19.5k
MCS Hardtop: $22k
Impreza WRX: $25k

Over here:
Impreza WRX: 1.8M
Cooper Hardtop: 1.8M
MCS Hardtop: 2.3M-2.45M
Base model C-class: 2.58M

You can't compare the prices directly because we have much higher taxes than the US.

Also, the Impreza, being sold from a Singapore distributor, doesn't suffer the same taxes as the CBU straight from Europe Cooper does. The prices at the official dealership are fair, actually, since those are quite similar to the prices gray market imports are fetching... and you get the benefit of a warranty, to boot.
