Hi Masters,

Newbie here... got a 92 hatch with a PH 12 engine.

I'm planning for an engine upgrade to d15B, my question is:

The stock tranny from PH12 engine, will it fit the d15B engine? any issues on this?

Kasi may nakausap ako na nagpapalit ng engine, sabi nya mas ok daw if gamitin ko nalang daw yung stock tranny ko sa d15B engine. Experts correct ba yung sinabi nya????......

Tnx....

Raymond

the ph12 tranny bolts on to the d15b since ph12 and d15 are basically from the same engine family.

benefits? ph12 tranny gearing is shorter to compensate for the low power the ph12 has. advantages pag ginamit sa d15b is improved acceleration.

Thanks Raymond.....

Another thing, will the d15 B engine fits properly on my 92 EG hatch?

Any modifications on the engine mounts? or just direct bolt on lang?......

Thanks,

Emong3

yes swak na swak yan!

just make sure to replace the fuel tank, fuel filter, gauge, clutch disk, and pressure plate.

valve cover lang yun, painted or black wrinkled vs unpainted bare aluminum. It does not indicate anything since pwede pag palit palitin.

What identifies different D15B's are the following:

D15B from EG:
- P08 ECU
- Dip stick in the middle of the headers
- for vtec, it has a vtec pressure switch beside the vtec solenoid
- for non vtec no vtec solenoid and no vtec pressure switch
- for vtec-E, intake manifold payat parang hot dog, very small throttle body

D15B from EK:
- Dipstick beside the timing belt cover
- for vtec3, 2 vtec solenoids, no vtec pressure switch
- for non vtec no vtec solenoid, small distributor cap

For d15 B vtec do you have a labeled picture of this engine?

Where I can find the items below? Specially the vtec pressure switch and the vtec solenoid?

P08 = nasa part number ng ECU, look at the ECU label bside the bar code

dipstick locatio = self explanatory

vtec pressure switch and solenoid beside the distributor.

Thanks, emong....

how about the 3 staged d15 B vtec engine? Bolt down lang ba yun sa 92 hatch? or need some engine mount modifications?

tnx

Emong3

yes it will also bolot right in. If you get the m/t D15B no problem. Pero usually surplus 3stage D15b is coupled with the CVT. It will need major conversions on the fuel system and electricals for it to work on a manual tranny. Or else you'll get a CEL 'coz the ECU is looking for the CVT.

May mga lumabas ba na m/t D15B 3 stage engine?.... or puros pang automatic?... and ask ko lang whats CVT? , CEL ?, and ECU?

sorry newbie lang....tnx

Emong3

Yes naglabas ng D15B vtec3 na manual sa EK3. I've seen one personally sa isang surplusan. Very rare ito!

CVT = continuously variable transmission
CEL = check enine light
ECU = Electronic control unit

another question ulit.....

Whats the difference of having an esi clutch and flywheel to stock flywheel and clutch of PH12 engine???

kasi my i heard na nagkaka-clutch slippage daw yung stock na clutch and flywheel from PH12 when paired sa d15B engine...so the solution daw is to get an esi clutch and flywheel.....

any comments on this????

Thanks ulit........
