Yokohama a-drive or the Yokohama a-drive R1 version?  What are the pros and cons, which version is more durable and produces less noise.  Which are more comfortable?  I used my car as an everyday transportation.  I don't race.

I almost bought these yokohamas but two freinds who have these tires told me that they don't wear evenly as I saw on thier vehicles. One is a CRV and the other an Optra.  I don't know if these are really true for all.  Anyway, I bought another brand instead.

could it be that the wheels are not aligned that's why it does not wear evenly?

Paul

uneven wear has nothing to do with the tire. it may be caused by poorly aligned suspension and tires or other worn out suspension or steering parts.

regarding the tires, we have a-drive fitted to our innova and it's an ok tire. runs quite and has good-ish grip. i also noticed a reduction of steering feel.

you cna base your decision using the utgq rating (tire wear) of the tire. as long as its within the 180 to 200 range, you should be good.

I've been reading a lot on different tires lately (since I'm planning to buy a new set myself :)).  Anyways from what I've read, the A.Drive R1 is the more performance oriented version while the A.Drive is more touring/comfort oriented.  The A.Drive is also available in higher profiles unlike the R1 which I believe is only available from 55 series below.  So if you're after comfort more than performance then the A.Drive should be the right tire for you.

yes,a.drive is more practical for daily driving, although i tried the s.drive for my car.
