10 basic performance mods for SIR:

1. Wheels and tires.  Stock rims are too heavy.  New ROTA or good branded rims can save you some weight and increase handling, ride, etc.   Get 15x7 rims and 195/55 or 205/50 tires max from Bridgestone, Yokohama or reputable brand.  Any bigger is not really needed.

2.  Surplus Integra or City full-row radiator and aircon condenser.  Stock system too small.  This is the first modification you should do before modifying your engine or racing.

3.  Intake system, most effective modification you can do to SIR.  Stock intake system very restrictive.  Get brand name system like HKS, AEM or K&N.  Cheap filters will just degrade or let in too much dirt in your engine.  Cheaper but effective: retain stock primary intake tube and add a HKS or AEM filter to the end of it.

4.  Exhaust system.  No need to change to headers.  The stock header system is ok.  Just replace the exhaust tubing to 2.25-inch diameter stainless steel, manderel-bent, tubing with matching resonator and muffler of the same inside diameter tubing.  Look for US or JDM mufflers.  Local muffler too loud.

5. Shocks. Bilsteins or Koni shocks.  They can lower the car around 1-inch cuz of adjustable spring mounts on the shock body.  Best shocks for everyday use.  Makes your car ride like a BMW.

6.  Front Brake pads.  Winmax, Tanabe or Ferodo pads.  Better than stock and won't fade.  Don't try racing with the stock pads.

7.  Carbon fiber hood.  Less weight = better handling.

8.  Momo or Sparco racing steering wheel.

9.  Surplus Recaro Type R seats.  or those racing carbon fiber or fiberglass seats from SEATMATE, Sparco, etc.  Comfort with side support.  Stock seats don't do justice to the car's capabilities.

10. Front & rear adjustable camber kit.  Only for those RWYB track types.

There is no dishonor in losing the race. There is

add ko lang

Stainless steel brake lines or basically new brake lines- Since its and old car, and brake lines also have wear and tear, better replace them to keep the     pedal feel alive.

Carbon Fibre Trunk- as said,  less weight, better handling.

P06 Reprogrammable ECU- tuning is making the most out of every performance mod you put.

Fiberglass Type R chin- Simple yet gives the car better appeal.

With a car that old, you'll need to get replacement parts anyway for the 5/10 mods I mentioned.  Just replace the old parts with lighter and better components so the car will be useable for the next few years.  100k is nothing compared to buying a new model anyway and I like this model more than any other new model cuz of its looks, handling, economy and performance.  The light + stiff chassis, double wishbone suspension and DOHC VTEC engine combination is superior to anything out there IMO.
