What happened: Also had my usual change oil at shell. When the car was lifted up, the mechanic noticed that there was a leak from the power steering fluid. He said that it was coming from the Rack and Pinion.

Question: what to do with this type of problem? where to have it done (affordable price)? and how much?

Help! :(

Brent

Usually you can just get an overhauling kit and have the seals replaced. If you're unlucky, you have to replace it.

thanks for the quick reply sir Brent. How much ang overhaul kit and how much if i have it replaced with a surplus/replacement part?

Depends on car make and model. Preparing 3,500-4000 may be a good start.

OEM Power Steering Overhaul kit. But that price is generally for Mitsubishi.

steering racks have repair kits but if the shafting is damaged the leak will return din even if you've replaced the seals.
