The City 1.3S costs P41K more than the Vios 1.3E, but it has a passenger airbag and a stronger engine.

Yuen, if you're considering the P726K City 1.3S M/T, why not also consider the new Mazda 2 1.5V M/T which costs P725K?
The Mazda 2 sedan has a bit more torque from its bigger 1.5 liter engine (135Nm vs 127Nm) and has the paracticality of having 40:60 split folding rear seats a feature not available in the local spec Vios and City models.

Standard Features:
Dual SRS Airbags
ABS
Power features: steering, windows, locks, side mirrors
40:60 split folding rear seats
15 inch alloy wheels
Height adjustable driver's seat

Ayoko Vios, police car Vios, taxi Vios, sales rep Vios, company car Vios, etc., etc.    Carnapper gusto din Vios kasi madali ibenta.         Honda City ok din. Lots of after market accessories. Pwede i-upgrade Mugen look, etc.    Mazda 2 pogi, powerful,

Vios were good but thats the disadvantage of owning it. When OFW inquire bout vios, agents  ask  you if  it  is for taxi purposes. Tnx anyways,

Boss.. Ayaw mo tignan ang Hyundai Accent?? 1.5 engine tapos crdi pa.. Sobrang laki ng matitipid mo.. Para sakin, okay toh kasi power and practicality..  :wav:

The big disadvantage of the Accent...
NO Airbags
NO ABS

BlackBlood

whoa, i'm surprised na wala palang ABS ang accent! yan ang medyo nakakatakot.

I'd remove the vios from the equation, nothing added in the facelift really. Imho just compare the city and mazda 2.

if you're into a zippier sportier drive go for the mazda, comfort wise the city feels better over bumps.

space wise i think it goes to the city as well.

for the price range you can also consider a base model corolla which is still below 800 but whops bigger than any subcompact since you're not particular if it's an MT or AT

The Accent is really a car to consider, since it could smoke all the cars mentioned above and give the best fuel mileage among them as well (also put into consideration the much cheaper price of diesel fuel) although it lacks airbags, most airbag equipped cars never use them in their whole lifetime and ABS is not really that much used right? Besides, Hyundai offers an excellent 5 year/100000km warranty.  :)

i'd go for honda city,ok naman yung vios yung blind side lang sa may side mirror

City for me in terms of looks, power, resale value, safety.

Airbags are important. Although as the previouse poster said most cars never use the airbag in its lifetime,  It's still better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. You'll never know when an accident can strike.

renzo_d10

practicality - vios
looks - city

- mura kasi ang vios, bang for the buck talaga. tignan mo ang vios j, equipped na with power features yet very minimal rin ang increase.  :applause: And being a Toyota, very cheap ang PMS niya compared sa Honda.

But despite all the advantages that the Vios has compared to the City, if I have the money i`ll be opting for the latter. Ewan ko, napagsasawaan ko na looks ng Vios eh.  Police cars, Airport taxi etc. etc. Vios nalang palagi.  :violent1: Pero diba, may advantage din yun ? It just proves that the Vios is one mighty vehicle ... dunno though why their hoods are open.  :violent5:

So yun ... since I think you have the money to afford the City, Ill go for it. Except if you're open for other options such as the Mazda 2, Accent etc. etc.  :wav:
