Sirs,

I do not know if this is the right location to post this topic. Nevertheless, I would like to request for some advice from all of you. I am in the advent of purchasing my first car, and after some thorough consideration, I have these two candidates:

a. Honda Civic 1.8S AT 2008
b. Honda City 1.3S AT 2009

Can you give me a good advice on which car to choose. My expected daily travel is from Quezon City to San Jose del Monte Bulacan via Commonwealth, with some trips to Batangas every weekends.

IMO, i prefer the civic. just 1 year older but bigger, and more pogi plus much powerful engine, much stable on highway for your weekly trips to batangas. of course it depends on how good the previous owners took care for it

Update... Medyo di kami nagka-ayos ng kausap ko para sa 2008 Honda Civic. So if I would settle for a 2009 Honda City, is that really a bad thing?

Your thoughts regarding the 2009 Honda City 1.3S, Pros and Cons.

Kung di ka nagmamadali, better to wait for another Civic. Better platform lang siya than City. It's not necessarily bad.

city is good. but if the comparison are between civic and city, definitely the civic wins. city is also fine

I had made my decision and went for the Honda City. Although all of the replies that I had seen in this thread leaned towards the Honda Civic.

I made my call based on the fact of fuel economy, with the rising cost of fuel, I need to be prudent.

Well, I made my bed, there is no turning back.
