First car in Ph

Hello!
Troubled po ako sa pagbili ko ng first car dito sa Philippines, my budget is between 200k - 230k and  Ford Focus 2006 2.0 ang available po sa lugar ko. Car is being sold by a friend and he's a mechanic. May tagas daw ang makina so papalitan niya daw ng head gasket then good to go na daw yun. Itetest drive ko if ayos na. My question is viable pa ba bumili ng sasakyan more then 10 years old and better po ba na mag car loan po ako ng brand and gamitin ung available money for DP? Thanks po!
