mga bossing pano ba dapat ang  ang kambyo at transfer case, tama ba yung 2nd gear  at neutral sa case

sixpack

I usually put my transfer case on neutral when  being towed.

six, pre ang kambyo san dapat kung neutral ang case

OTEP

Kung ang t/c ay nasa neutral, it wouldn't matter where your tranny lever is.

Putting the t/c in neutral is very much like disconnecting both front and rear driveshafts.

Although it wont matter where your tranny is shifted if your transfer case is in neutral, I still prefer both to be set on neutral when towing.

mas ok nga kong nsa eutral preho pero nkagay din dapat sa owners manual mo ang proper procedure kong pano itow yang truck mo kc ang alam ko d dpat tnotow yng mga yan ng malayuan snasakay dpat sa flatbed mliban kong ttanggalin mo both axle sa likod o drive line then bbuhatin sa harap kc bk mcra transfer case! so just ck w/ ur manuals nlang mas cgurado kpa!

You can flat tow indefinitely when your t/c is in Neutral.  Unfortunately not every t/c has a neutral setting.

Ganun ginagawa sa mga trail-only rigs, eh.  Hinihila sa likod ng full size pick up or motorhome using a towbar (yung triangle).

If your transfer case has a "neutral" position then it doesn't matter if you have a an auto trans or not.

For 4x4s without a neutral position on their T-case, long-distance or highway speed towing is not advised.  This will cause auto and manual trans problems.

A lot of towing instructions is vehicle specific.  Read your owner's manual.

Yes, the best way to tow is in the owner's manual. Also, ano ba ang batas diyan sa 'Pinas? Dito kasi sa California, bawal mag flat-tow with ropes or chains, only with a recognized tow truck or on a flat-bed platform.

Kapag walang manual, the sure way to not harm the towed vehicle's drivetrain is to remove both the front and rear driveshafts. Be aware that unless the towing vehicle is much larger than the towed vehicle, you may have problems stopping both vehicles, and or controlling them in adverse weather and roads and speeds.
(This is where those Ford Super-Duty thugs come in handy  :D )

Seems to me that MMDA accredited tow trucks never (?) tow illegally parked 4x4s.

Has anyone's rig here been towed?

Good question. Maybe because 4x4's are usually heavier and bigger than their vehicles? That they might snap an axle shaft or so?
Or because 4x4's project an image of an armed owner?  :)

MMDA rarely touches SUV's.  Kahit sa kotongan/extortion activities nila.  I have tried to run over two of their kind already because they tried to stop my rig for their 'activities.'

Towing?  Takot lang nila at baka kung sinong maimpluwensyang tao ang may ari nung SUV.  Even our city mayor (Belmonte) rides around in a Terrano.

Drexx - Otep,

Both good points ... armed and/or influential.

Or are they just afraid to cost damage to the 4x4 rigs? Because of the above points?
Pure speculation on this end!
