how much and what are the good brands of tire inflator/sealant? Yung tipong pwedeng gamitin instead of mag change tire ka....the ones you can use to run flat to the next gas station maybe? Yung available lang sa philippines ha...  ;D

I saw some at SnR and True Value. I tried the one at True Value, but I forgot the name. Around P250 yata. Its very convenient coz you just plug the hose and press the button! For me, the P250 is worth it coz sometimes I'd rather use this than change the tires, especially during traffic or when it's raining.

MaTtoy

P250...uyy pwede na yan... :) one time use lang ba yung mga ganito? and do they expire? baka mamya after 6 months hindi mo na siya pwede gamitin? kasi...ok na ok yan lalo na kapag bumibiyahe ka ng malayo diba? what was the brand that you bought nic?

Yup each can is good for 1 tire. I used it on a 17". I'm not sure about the expiration though. Sorry Mattoy I can't recall the name. Basta 1 brand lang naman yung nasa True Value eh. I'll post it here kung makadaan ako sa true value ulit.

how do they work?

after you reinflate the wheel you put some sealant? like putting sealant on the roof?  ???

EK9, yung sinasabi nila works like this, its a can with a tube and some sealant in the chemical inside the can. Pag na flat ka you just plug it in the tire air valve and presto. Ang downside nito one time use lang siya.

Mattoy,

if you were referring to something else and not the can thing, i know what you mean. I would suggest you purchasing the real inflator with sealant material. This works by pluging it into your 12V cigarette plug and plug it in the tire air valve. Ok siya kasi pwede rin sa bikes, inflatable pools, boats etc. Its better than using the conventional pump which I have tried pumping my pick up with  :-[ It claims to produce maximum pressure of 300psi!!!  :o o diba!

Then it comes with this chemical you place inside the tire to seal the "inside" of the tire. Pag malaki talaga yung butas ok to, pero one time use din depending on the size of the whole. Pero I know what you mean by just getting the tire ok to go to the nearest gasoline station. The pump can handle that kung maliit lang yung butas, just dont run out of battery!  ;)

btw, I got it from the states for about $25 which is P1.3K. Wala pa ako nakikita dito. If I see one I'll post it here. Otherwise I'll see if I can get one for you if you like  :)

mattoy .. ive tried thos disposable ones and useful sya .. draw back onetime use .. another draw back eh kung stock tires ka (e.x.195/65/14) if flat na flat you might have to use 2 cans kc you need more air ;D kung lo profile pwede na 1 can

nsr3 .. hmm okay yun saeo ah .. it comes with sealant din? can you buy more sealants for that?

IMm29

Dba mahirap i-balance yung tire after using the emergency tire inflator/sealant?

Pano ba yung procedure ng paggamit nito, use to solve puncture, and then bring to tire shop and have them seal the hole with a patch?

Kinda reluctant to use this, baka masama sa tire in the long run, or baka mali yung subsequent steps ko after using it for an emergency.

Thanks.

tenks guys for all your replies!  ;D

sige Nic...i'll just look for it a true value pagbalik ko...meron kasi dito sa vancouver...CAD$ 9.95 (+tax)...roughly mga P420 per can...but kung meron P250 diyan...eh paguwi ko na lang ako bibili...tsaka baka-mahassle lang sa customs pagnaguwi ako ng more than 2 cans eh....yung nandito...upto 18" kaya...

tama ka NSR3...i'm referring to the canned easy tire inflator/sealants....but alam ko din yang sinasabi mo...parang meron kang mini-vulcanizing shop na dala palagi ;D ....ok din yan but medyo ma-trabaho yan but I guess would be more effective than the canned ones....ok na sa akin yung canned ones...emergency use only lang naman eh...the idea is to be prepared ;D

mark_JDM...talaga? 2 cans? kasi meron cans na pang upto 14" and cans for upto 18"....siguro pag yung pang-bigger tires...1 can lang gagamitin mo...hmm...where did you buy yours? and how much?

IMm29 di naman siguro...kasi according to the cans I saw...it won't damage tire or affect balance...motomaster & prestone yung mga tatak so i guess its ok to use them....one time use lang siya...korek...use to solve puncture then bring to shop...

guys...yung mga nakita ko eh non-flammable....but meron atang mga brands na flammable pa rin so if ever your buying these types...DON'T! check this out.. http://www.tiredefects.com/fix-a-flat/ for more info...and read before buying...btw...good reading din yung rest of the site... ;)
