vortech is a rising rate boost sensitive fuel reg. how much boost can it support & supply fuel inorder for the engine not to lean out? does it still need to be tuned or is it self adjusting? 4g63 n.a. w/ td05 planning to initially boost 6psi.

also, if i increase my injector flowrate, from stock 240cc to a 280cc or 310cc, will my engine run rich at idle or will it be able to self adjust?  :)

it depends on the ratio of your vortech fuel regulator. usually, a 12:1(highest rating) ratio can safely support 7psi but not advisable to go beyond to be safe.

if you can't find a 12:1 then you can compensate with injector size, don't run a 12:1 with large injector as you'll run rich.  vortech comes with ratio of 4,5,8,10 and 12:1.

also, if you're going to use a vortech fuel reg. better use an inline pump so your stock intank won't be having a hard time keeping up with the needed fuel pressure and use an a/f gauge to see if you're running lean at wot.
