Which Small Luxury Sedan?

Hi Guys!

Just want to know your opinions or feedbacks.

Given the choices below, which one will you get?

- Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor
- BMW 325i
- Jaguar X-Type 2.5L
- Audi A4 1.8T (all-new model)
- Volvo S60
- Volkswagen Passat 2.3 V5
- Lexus IS200

You have to consider that some of their prices vary a lot from each other. From a 1.3m IS200 to 2m+Jag and Audi


Id stick with the 325i. Ive seen pull.

Lexus IS200 or IS300 just for Quality and looks
BMW 325i/Audi A4/Benz - looks and finish  
Volvo - safe/pretty spacy
jaguar- isn't this using the ford taurus or some ford car platform.

I think a Lexus IS300 would cost about as much as a BMW 325i. But between the two, I'd choose the Lexus.  

But if I were power-hungry (aren't we all? ), I'd pick a Volvo S60 T5!

Actually, the Jaguar X-Type has Ford Mondeo's platform, and the S-Type, the Lincoln LS's platform!

But in a magazine that I read about the Jaguar X-Type, it said that there isn't a bit of Ford you will feel when you drive it. Don't know if it's true!

OT: I've read from a certain magazine that the only Jaguar that's "all-Jag" is the new XJ.

among the choices, IMHO, the volvo s60 has the best value for money among them all, whether in the 2.0 LPT or T5 trim.

it is also the most spacious and among the reviews i've read, has the most durable chassis compared to other euro brands in the same class like benz, BMW, VW and audi.  

yes, the jag x shares the same platform with the ford mondeo/metrostar.

even though ford motor co. has bought a part of volvo, ford has said it wouldn't intervene with volvo's engineering and product development department. ford has even said that they may apply some volvo technologies to their cars.

Lexus IS 200 and 300.. because for me it has both luxury and sporty looks and performance all at just 1 car.

i've seen the new audi A4 1.8T. it looks good plus i'm sure its got the power to back it up. otherwise i'd go for the C200 Kompressor.

all new A4 1.8T  , 4WD na , fuel effecient pa among the rest,  AFAIK.  hehehe, mas mabangis.

If you like speed.. i would get the BMW...
If you like madating na auto Jag bilhin mo..
If you want a sporty look go for the lexus...
i've driven the lexus is200, bmw and jag.. pinakamabilis ang bmw then is200 then jag.. mabigat kasi ang jag eh but madating talaga ang jag..
for handling pinakaok ang bmw.. nothing compares to it sa lexus and jag..
ok ang lexus cuz konti lang meron dito and sarap pormahin.. pero mahirap ang parts..
Ok rin ang new audi a4.. ganda tignan...
i would choose the bmw, lexus or audi.. masyadong mainit sa mata ang jag eh

first choice

bmw 325i with 18"s or the optional 19"s of a 7 series...

cons: facelift comming soon...and for its price.....i like the new 5s of an E series.....but hey....its still a nice car

2nd choice

jag X-type

cons: not the Jag of lore

benz C200.....cons: coz i like the E series better

best bang for the buck ang x type dito sa pinas.

i'd pick it for overall choice. considering its price and performance, not to say luxurious amenities.

ang passat sa US nde naman ata considered as luxury. parang camry na family car sa alam ko.
