my car is ford lynx, so this means it is not yet HID.
What benefit will i get to have my headlamps transformed to HID???I hear that it cost a lot to have your headlamps changed to HID, so i believe there will be a great gain on this...need feedbacks...

Simple: extraordinarily brighter (clear) lights.

HID come in different colors, usual would be super white or may shade of violet/purple. Its easy to distinguish, betwwen HID and normal bulbs, nasa brightness talaga, parang clear na sobrang liwanag.  :)

And usually, the bulbs on an HID really look different, parang kasing-thin ng ciragarette, whreas ordinary bulbs are fat and short.  :)

ok, for the bulb.. if you look at a real xenon bulb... mahaba siya and very thin and may wire na nakakabit whereas the halogen bulb is fat and short...
as dondiboy said, it is very easy to distinguish ordinary bulb to an HID.. puti talaga ang road if you look at it and from a far makikita mo iba ang buga ang light..
benefit, more light - brighter and it only uses 35 watts... it is way brighter than ordinary bulbs in my opinion.. my car has one pair and our other cars have it.. malayo talaga ang brightness and mas may mkikita ka.. and porma tignan kapag malayo...
the disadvantage of this is that it cost around 25 to 50t pesos depending on the brand you use..
you can try going to jetcar, you have choices kung what brand to chose from.. the color will depend on the kelvin.. 6000k hids are usually bluish color or violet.. 8000k are bluish to white color...
yun mga phillips and hella are kinda yellowish in color ut may bluish na phillips akong nakita.. PIAA are off white color, Raybrig are purple in color, VIsion are white in color and xtec the new brand here is bluish in color...
hope this helps :)

if you have the money to spend..
i strongly suggest you get a HID kit...
it will be safer too because you can see more...

Gusto mo malaman if totoo yung HID? Titigan mo siya, I guarantee hindi ka masisilaw. That's why HID's are much brighter (compared to regular halogen bulbs)  pero still road legal.

yup correct ka diyan.  :)

kbh

what do you mean defect?
factory defect or the aftermarket defect?

pao_d

yung HID lights parang crystal yung cover diba? parang crystal glass. hindi na plastic diba?

TsarColeGrey

bolt-on lang ba ito? bili ka aftermarket na HID tapos salpak lang sa stock na headlights without any adjustments or electricals to be replaced?  ???

kbh,
what i meant was diba yung mga aftermarket hids dito nagooffer ng 1 year warranty?pano kung after a year or kahit hindi pa tapos yung warranty period mo eh biglang napundi ang bulb mo or nasira ang ballast mo, saan ka bibili ng bagong ballast or bulb kung yung mga hid companies stop production na? :-\

pao_d,
yung hid hindi yun cover, it is a bulb powered by ballasts  :)

tsarcolegrey,
bolt on lang ang hid pero kelangan i-adjust mo yung alignment ng ilaw para hindi naman nakatutok sa mata ng incoming vehicles. yung electricals naman, u just have to connect the ballasts tapos ok na yun. tapos palitan mo nalang yung fuse mo sa headlight from 15 amperes to 20 amperes.  :)
