anyone plan to challenge the record of Phil's fastest SUV?

I have an idea for such a contender... a TRD supercharged RAV4 SV!  ;D

waz,

I'm not sure if TRD makes strut bars for the gen 1 RAV4. but AFAIK, TRD has more parts for the gen 1 RAV4 than the gen 2 RAV4.  :)

Hi Guys!

To start, what are the things we need to create a supercharged RAV4 SV? Sounds interesting! :)

jao,

I thought of that idea because TRD is developing a supercharger kit for the 1.8L 1ZZ-FE engine which is the engine in the RAV4 SV. (well, its also found in the Altis 1.8G, the Celica GT, and the MR-S  ;D)

I think such a project is very feasible.  ;)

Hi Guys!

I think a supercharger will fit the engine bay of the RAV4 having the 1ZZ-FE. Laki pa ng space, sure kasya supercharger and even intercooler up the lower front!

i don't have a rav4.

i believe that's because your rav4 is a cbu(completely built-up unit) from japan.

That's just something for the factory to keep track of production.  I don't know why Toyota doesn't take it off prior to delivery.

Yung sa mga Korean vans nga ang laki ng mga barcodes nila.  Sa pintura pa nakalagay.  Ayaw naman alisin ng mga owners para 'orig' daw.  hahahaha...

Wanna have the same quality suspension designed for the rugged Land Cruiser? Then check this out:

*I just saw that website, and they seem to be a reputable off-road company in Salt Lake City (Utah, USA). I haven't been a customer of theirs yet.

Any idea how I can make our new RAV4 run smoother and softer? We regularly bring our RAV4 for out of town trips and we really get tired w/ the horse ride effect due to the hard suspension of the Rav4.

Also, is there a way to remove something from the underchassis or links under to make it 2 wheel drive only. We really have no use for the all time 4 wheel drive. It only makes us comsume a lot of gasoline. Sayang nga if only the 4x2 rav had an automatic eh.

Any inputs would be appreciated. Thanks!
