guys oks na ba ang 2.5" na tubo pag nakaturbo ka or kailangan 3"?  ???

Just a comment on the statement of replacing the main injectors rather than installing additional injectors.  It is true that replacing the main injectors with larger ones will provide a more uniform fuel volume into each cylinder but the problem here is that it's not as simple as just replacing the injectors.  You will now have to mess with the ECU or replace it all together so that the fuel mapping will be appropriate for the new setup or else your ecu will cause your engine to run rich at all times since it is no longer feeding the proper quantity.  This is why some people use a stand alone fuel management system and just add injectors.  I have this same setup in my lexus now and it has not caused any problems so far.

Don't get me wrong.  i would still like to replace my injectors and get a larger turbo eventually but for now my setup works satisfactorily at 305 rwhp at 14 lbs of boost.  This is about 425 hp at the crank due to parasitic loss through my automatic tranny.

The best exhaust for a turbo is the least exhaust. But since you are talking tube size, use 3-inch diameter.

From first hand experience, the CIVIC with 200+WHP is so so fast, beat the hell out of me.

All I can say it does not matter if you use 1 extra injector, or 2 or even 4, or if you change your main injectors to one which flows higher.

It is all in the tuning and in the way it is matched with your turbo and the amount of boost you want.

200+whp is already a very high powered setup for an engine producing only less than 100whp...  IMHO...

Pare,

Gagastos ka nalang din, gumastos ka na ng tama, para maayos ang makina mo. :)

You can buy th stuff that you need in stages: turbine (18k for a surplus but professionally rebuilt turbine), fuelling components (dito malahl talaga, it will depend on what you need), piping (erL Motorwerx, Freemuff or Ayos-Auto, about 30k for everything, manifold, intake and exhaust piping), then installation, then tuning na. :)

PM me if you are interested, I know someone who turbocharged hihs 2k2 Civic and got 210 wheel HP! Maybe you can meet up with the guy and ask him what his set-up consists of.

HUGE gain from something like 98 wheel HP in stock trim. :)

did you have anything to do at all with the set up you've been talking about?

It's high, but IMO, high-horsepower turbo setup is in the lines of 300-up.
so where's ur 300hp elantra?? still in ur dreams?!
;D ;D ;D

turb

migs,

totoo ba yun? i've seen his turbo and it looks just like mine only chrome polished. doesn't look to be the size of a t3. hindi pa tapos yung installation nun nakita ko. i asked the mechanic to make an estimate as to how much whp it will make and he said it should only be around 150whp which is logical considering stock internals and the engine is not the high performance kind. how many psi of boost?

Nope, just know the guy. I know his set-up but nakakahiya to tell the specs sa board since he doesn't want other people to know and just follow suit as he invested a lot of time and money finding out the best set-up for him. If it were my set-up I would have shared it but since it is not, maganda na yung may-ari yung mag-share nun. :)

baka pwedeng malaman yung exact boost niya? is it 7psi or 9psi? thanks.  :)

Going straight for a 3' exhaust for turbo applications automatically is a very popular misconception. :) Its still all about exhaust flow volume and velocity. :)

For low-boost applications especially on 1.6 liter 4 cylinder cars, 3' exhaust piping is on the excessively large side already. :) On the opposite end, those 1000++ HP Skylines and Supras use a 4 inch exhaust pipe exiting right after the merge collector. :)

alam ko it's a hybrid but still a t3 in all respects yata. re: the hp rating... this is what good tuning can get you.  ;)
