Rustproofing/Undercoating/Help!how to keep AUV Healthy?

Sirs,

I just bought a REVO Diesel GLX Year 2000 Model and i want to keep my unit Healthy in any way, buy not yet into Grooming.  

Well, i would like to ask the difference between the two "RUSTPROOFING VS. UNDERCOATING"

I live in the province and my Unit will also be exposed in rough roads.

1.Whats your best advise in order for me to protect my REVO?
2.What do they do in Rustproofing or Undercoating?How long does it take for each procedure?
3.How much is the Cost of Rustproofing , Undercoating?
4.How often do a Vehicle undergo RustProofing?Undercoating?
5.Which is the best and dependable Shop?for Rustproofing?Undercoating (kay Sir Chieffy syempre)?
6.Any Warranty? i read a thread it says P4,000 for initial Rustproofing then P1,000 for yearly sessions. How about in Undercoating?

What are those things i should consider in keeping my Unit Healthy?

Congratulations on youe new ride.  

Rustprofing involves adding rustprotection chemicals on the underside, body panels door and hoods of your vehicle. Undercoating means only adding it to the underside of your vehicle. Pero minsan in layman's terms ay synonimous sila.  


1. Have your vehicle regularly washed and waxed. When paint damage occurs have them repaired immediately. Also have it rustproofed if the dealer didn't add it.

2. They usually spray antirust chemicals on the vehecles underside and body panels prone to rust. It takes at least half a day to finish it.

3. Complete rustproofing costs at least 6k depending upon the vehicle. Undercoating at least 1.5k also depending upon the size of the vehicle.

4. You do it once a year for best results.

5. Aside from Sir Chieffy. You can have complete rustproofing at Tuff-Kote or Ziebart. For plain uncercoating then your nearest Shell or Caltex Station.

6. For the complete rustproof they do offer warranty. Tuffkot offers 5 years for new vehicles and 3 years for old vehicles. But the catch is that you'll have to bring it to them annually for the yearly reapplication which costs around 2k depending on the vehicle. For undercoating sa gas stations ay walang warranty.

If you want bring your car to a station to get it undercoated, make sure their using a good chemicals..
