10,461 drivers apprehended in LTO's No registration, No travel ops
2,741 apprehensions were private vehicles

June 2024 figures are in; 10,461 drivers were apprehended by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in its aggressive nationwide ‘No registration, No travel’ operations last month.
According to a report published by LTO, motorcycles top its list with the most number of apprehensions with 6,824; followed by tricycles with 1,787; private vans with 954; private sedans with 451, and trucks with 230.
LTO Assistant Secretary, Atty. Vigor Mendoza II said that the agency will continue its aggressive operations vs delinquent registrations until all vehicles in the country are updated with their renewal.

“This only shows that the LTO will not stop until all vehicles [renew] their registration because not only is this an obligation to the government for owning a vehicle, but also to ensure the safety of road users since roadworthiness inspection is included in vehicle registration,” said Mendoza.
Of the 10,461 motor vehicles apprehended, Mendoza said a total of 9,212 of them were issued with traffic violation tickets while a total of 1,601 motor vehicles were impounded.
Some of those impounded were motor vehicles being used for public transportation without necessary permits from the government, which the LTO describes as colorum vehicles.
The LTO earlier issued a memorandum to Regional Directors emphasizing that a court order is needed for the release of any motor vehicles apprehended and impounded in anti-colorum drive.
