LTO extends validity of licenses, registrations expiring this April 2026
For those with April birthdays and plate numbers ending in 4

To help motorists save fuel and time, with fuel otherwise spent traveling to government offices better used for more essential needs, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has granted a three-month extension for driver’s licenses expiring this April.
The move, according to the agency, follows the directive of President Bongbong Marcos and is in line with the declared State of National Energy Emergency.

The 3-month extension also covers conductor’s licenses, student permits, and vehicle registration.
The LTO clarified that no surcharges, penalties, or fines will be imposed during the extended period. The measure is also intended to ease the burden on the public amid rising fuel prices and basic commodity costs, giving motorists more time to comply without added financial pressure.
