New York 2014 Preview: Nissan to debut 2015 Murano
New FWD platform expected
Nissan will unveil the new 2015 Nissan Murano at the 2014 New York Auto Show in April, replacing the generation that the brand has been marketing in various markets since 2009.
The design concept of the Murano is reportedly inspired by the Nissan Resonance concept that made its debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The overall size of the vehicle will remain relatively the same as the previous model and a seven-seater option will not be available.
The new Nissan Murano will have a front-wheel drive platform shared with the Altima, Pathfinder and next generation Maxima. A hybrid model is also expected using the Pathfinder's supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 22-horsepower electric motor and lithium-ion battery.
