Most powerful Bentley Flying Spur revealed with 635 PS and 900 Nm of torque

It was way back in 2019 when Bentley revealed the all-new Flying Spur. As the brand's newest flagship four-door, it replaced the now-discontinued Mulsanne and gets some design inspiration from the Continental GT and Bentayga SUV.

For years, the flagship luxury saloon only came with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes 550 PS with 770 Nm of torque. There's also the more eco-friendly Flying Spur Hybrid which has a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that churns out 536 PS and 750 Nm of torque. The hybrid also emits fewer emissions at an average rate of 75g of CO2 per kilometer, beating the Toyota Prius.

All are impressive, but there are motorists who prefer their Bentleys to go even faster and deliver better handling. After revealing the Continental GT Speed and Bentayga Speed models, the Crewe-based automaker has launched the Flying Spur Speed.

It comes with a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 that makes plenty of power and torque. It makes an additional 85 PS along with 130 Nm of extra pull compared to the V8 – allowing the Flying Spur Speed to generate a whopping 635 PS along with 900 Nm of torque. 0 – 97 km/h comes in at a very brisk 3.7 seconds while top speed is at a hair-raising 333 km/h.

Power is then sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox from ZF. To allow for smoother shifts between cogs, the transmission pre-selects the gears in order to shorten torque interruption.

To make the Flying Spur Speed stand out against the rest, it comes with massive 22-inch “Speed” wheels exclusive only to the four-door. It also gets a new front splitter and rear diffuser along with a subtle spoiler placed on the trunk lid painted black. Speaking of black, the exterior trims are also finished in black courtesy of the Blackline specification.

Like most Bentleys, the Flying Spur Speed comes with a full-leather interior. Depending on customer preference, there are a total of 15 shades to choose from, including the choice of color for the interior trim pieces. And to remind owners they are in something special, the 'Speed' name can be found on the dashboard and door sills.
