2023 Lamborghini Urus S gets more power, more options
Lamborghini Urus S has Performante power minus the harsh ride

It's a great thing to have sharper handling to go along with loads of power at your disposal whenever you want to do some spirited driving. But to live with a stiff-riding car on a daily basis... yeah, that's when it becomes less fun.

Last month, Lamborghini added the Performante version to their best-seller: the Urus super SUV. Featuring bold and aggressive styling with more power, stiffer suspension, and less weight, it's indeed the Urus that you'd want to take on a trackday.
But what if customers only wanted the power without the harsher ride? Well, Lamborghini is listening.

The 2023 Lamborghini Urus S is a new variant has all the DNA of the original Urus when it comes to giving luxurious versatility, but offers the increased power of the hardcore Performante.
The Urus S leans more to the standard Urus than the Performante as the bare carbon fiber elements are nowhere to be found. There are some slight changes though, as the Urus S now has more black elements in its front grille and skidplate.

Lamborghini punched holes in he hood for a pair of air vents to help with the extra heat of the Performante engine. The rear bumper has also received a few tweaks. Despite the updates, he Italian manufacturer tried to be more subtle with the Urus S when it comes to its exterior styling, but it's Lamborghini we're talking about here. There's nothing really subtle about them.

With its mid-cycle update, Lamborghini made the Urus S more customizable, adding a few more to the list of options in their Ad Personam program, ranging from exterior trim finishes to new rim options that include 22 or 23-inch wheels finished in matte titanium or diamond polish, among others.

The Lamborghini Urus S has the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the Performante that produces 666 PS and 850 Nm of torque but it did not join the Performante's weight loss program. As a result, it's slightly slower than the Performante when it comes to reaching 100 km/h from a standstill, but only by a mere two-tenths at 3.5 seconds. In addition, it will still reach a top speed of 305 km/h.
Pricing of the Lamborghini Urus S depends on the market and its destination charges. But in the EU market, the 2023 Urus S starts at EUR 195,538 (PHP 11.2-million) without the taxes. Still, it's expected to be substantially cheaper than the Urus Performante, which costs USD 260,676 (PHP 14.6-million) in the US market. Of course when it comes to the Philippines and is subjected to taxes, exchange rates, import duty, so on and so forth, the price will be nowhere near what it is in Europe. Conservative guess: 2x.

With the original Urus being a commercial success for Lamborghini, the Urus S intends to carry that legacy for the coming years.
