2024 Kia Sportage 30th Anniversary Edition special revealed
Updates include double-joined sounding glass on all trims and two cabin colors for the Anniversary Edition

The first Sportage was launched in 1993 and while we have seen some major technological advancements, it does not feel like three decades have gone by. But coinciding with the release of the updated 2024 Sportage, Kia unveiled its 30th Anniversary Edition model, which puts the nameplate’s age right in your face.

New to the 2024 Sportage models is a double-joined windshield. The Signature top trim gets double-joined glass on the windshield and rear window. According to Kia, this improves cabin comfort by preventing external noises from coming in.

What makes the 2024 Sportage stand out is the 30th Anniversary Edition, which comes with unique exterior and interior features. The body gets glossy black roof racks, outside mirror covers, grille and door garnish, front and rear bumper extensions, and both the 18- or 19-inch wheel options.
Inside are leather seats with new quilting patterns and suede inserts, and headrests with the 30th Anniversary Edition logo. Buyers can choose between green or black cabin colors.

The 2024 Sportage comes with four engine options: a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine with 180 PS, a 1.6-liter hybrid variant with 230 PS, a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine fuel by LPG that makes 146 PS, and a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 186 PS.

The fifth-generation Sportage is not available here in the country so we might not even get a glimpse of the 2024 model year, more so the 30th Anniversary Edition. For now, let’s just admire it from afar and hope Kia actually decides to bring the all-new Sportage soon.
