At the heart of the Lotus Eletre are a pair of electric motors that deliver AWD traction and grip. The standard Eletre and S models crank out an impressive 612 PS along with a whopping 710 Nm of torque. For those that prefer more oomph, there’s also the more powerful Eletre R which is being shown at this year's PH EV Summit. It generates a hair-raising 917 PS and a stump-pulling 985 Nm of torque.

The standard and S variants can catapult themselves from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds while the Eletre R can do it faster in 2.95 seconds. In addition, the Eletre and Eletre S have a 258 km/h top speed while the latter can reach a higher top speed of 265 km/h. All Eletre models come with a 112 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an 800V architecture that powers the hyper SUV.

When it comes to recharging the Eletre, it can be recharged with a 22kW AC wallbox which can juice up the hyper SUV from 0% to 100% in around 5.8 hours. Opt for the 350kW DC charger and it can recharge the Eletre from 10% to 80% in only 20 minutes. As far as range is concerned, the Eletre and Eletre S can travel up to 600 km while the more powerful Eletre R can only reach up to 490 km.

Complementing the powerful AWD motors is a multi-link suspension which can be found in both the front and rear. Also present are dual-chamber air springs and continuously adjusting dampers that ensure a proper ride quality. Since the Eletre can go as fast as lightning, it gets 412mm disc brakes at the front and 397mm discs at the rear. The front set is then accompanied by 6-piston calipers while the rear comes with a sliding caliper. All four corners also come with Pirelli P Zero tires.

Size-wise, the Lotus Eletre measures 5103mm long, 2231mm wide (2135mm with electric side mirrors), 1630mm tall with 20-inch wheels (1636mm with 22/23-inch wheels), and has a 3019mm wheelbase. Its ground clearance is rated at 187mm with the 20-inch wheels while models fitted with the 22/23-inch wheel set get 194mm of ground clearance.

Step inside and the Eletre welcomes occupants into a digital cockpit. It has a 15.1-inch touchscreen that’s only 10mm thick but delivers crisp images and over 16 million colors thanks to the Unreal Engine technology derived from 3D animation and gaming. What’s even more impressive is that it's powered by 12GB of RAM and comes with 128GB of storage along with 5G connectivity. Speaking of connectivity, the system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, intelligent voice control, and a wireless charging pad. The front passenger even benefits from their own touchscreen.

The driver, on the other hand, gets a 12.6-inch OLED display behind the steering wheel and is even supplemented by a 29-inch heads-up display with semi-augmented reality. This allows the system to project key information to the driver without the person behind the wheel having to avert their eyes from the road.

Other important features available inside the Lotus Eletre include; a KEF 1,380-watt 15-speaker sound system, a 23-speaker 2,160-watt sound system also from KEF, a panoramic glass roof with 10 different settings for the amount of light to enter the cabin, and a dedicated smartphone app to allow Eletre owners to remote control certain functions of the vehicle.

Besides having a high-tech powertrain and interior, the Eletre also gets a full suite of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS). This is made possible with 34 state-of-the-art sensors, including the four deployable LIDAR, six radars, seven 8MP HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Altogether this gives the vehicle a 360-degree view of the world around it. The sensors also give the Eletre Level 4 autonomous driving capability.

“This launch marks another milestone in the partnership of Autohub Group and Lotus. I am so thrilled to unveil the Eletre, an innovative and progressive electric vehicle, especially during such a momentous time in the local electric vehicle landscape. The 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit was such a stimulating display of the potential of electric vehicles, and I am so glad that Autohub and Lotus were a part of it,” said Tee Ten.
