2024 Mazda CX-70 to be a two-row version of CX-90?
According to insider info, the CX-70 will be a two-row version of the Mazda CX-90

Mazda has been on a roll lately when it comes to high-end luxury (and sporty) crossover SUVs. The automaker has already released the CX-60 and CX-90 which now serve as their latest and most cutting-edge crossovers. Moreover, both vehicles are available with a six-cylinder under the hood and are rear-wheel drive (RWD).
Soon though, Mazda's lineup of large crossovers will be joined by another model, the CX-70. It's set to be revealed on January 30 and Mazda Canada already has a dedicated website for the upcoming vehicle.
The exact details and specifications for the Mazda CX-70 are not yet available at this time. However, according to insider information gathered from a presentation shown to investors, the vehicle will supposedly be a two-row version of the CX-90 (pictured above).
This could mean the CX-70 might share similar styling and dimensions but may have a sportier look inside and out. And since it will reportedly not have third-row seats, the CX-70 may likely have a larger cargo space.

When it comes to powertrain options, it will likely be available with a 3.3-liter SkyActiv turbocharged inline-six derived from the CX-90 which makes 345 PS with 500 Nm of torque and benefits from a 48V mild-hybrid assist. It is then paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The CX-70 could also be offered with the 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated e-SkyActiv inline-four plug-in hybrid (PHEV). It makes a total system output of 327 PS with 500 Nm of torque thanks to an electric motor powered by a 17.8 kWh battery pack. And just like the inline-six powertrain, the PHEV is also paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
With just several weeks to go before its debut, we're hoping Mazda reveals more details about the CX-70 along with teaser images to give us a glimpse of its looks. We'll also be keeping our fingers crossed that Mazda brings the CX-70 here in the Philippines.
