Both the manual and automatic 2024 Nissan Z retails for PHP 3.888M
After being previewed to local dealers a few weeks ago, Nissan Philippines Inc (NPI) has officially launched its latest sports car that will take the fight to the Toyota Supra and the Honda Civic Type R.
Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the 2024 Nissan Z. Revealed at a special event held at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, the next-generation sports car is now powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine while featuring a retro-inspired design that blends both old and new designs of the Z car.
Under the hood is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that benefits from direct injection. It cranks out 383 PS at 6000 rpm along with a meaty 475 Nm of torque between 1600 to 4400 rpm. Power is then sent to two transmission choices. First is the 6-speed manual gearbox with an Exedy high-performance clutch and the innovative SynchroRev Match. The other gearbox is a 9-speed automatic with paddle shifters and an oil warmer/air-cooled cooler.
The front suspension is a double wishbone setup with an aluminum subframe while the rear gets a multi-link steel suspension configuration. In addition, it gets massive 19-inch Dark Metallic Gray RAYS wheels wrapped in 255/40 tires at the front and 275/35 tires at the rear. Helping the sports car shave off speed are Nissan Sport brakes with 4-piston calipers at the front and 2-piston calipers at the rear that clamp on ventilated discs.
Size-wise, the all-new Z has marginally grown in size as it now measures 4380mm long, 1845mm wide, and 1315mm tall. It also sits on a 2550mm wheelbase and comes with a 62-liter fuel tank. Speaking of fuel, Nissan says the Z consumes 95-octane fuel.
Befitting the Z’s status as one of the brand’s halo cars, it gets a bevy of high-tech features. It gets full LED headlights with auto-leveling, signature Z LED daytime running lights, a 12-inch fully-digital instrument panel, power-adjustable front seats wrapped in leather and suede, aluminum sport pedals, push-button ignition, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an 8-speaker Bose sound system.
Providing extra peace of mind at all times comes courtesy of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Both the manual and automatic variants get intelligent cruise control, intelligent forward collision warning, intelligent emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear-cross traffic alert, blindspot warning, high-beam assist, hill-start assist, as well as a tire pressure monitoring system.
Interested in getting one? Pricing for both the 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic is at PHP 3.888M. It will be available to the public starting October 2023.
