Save the date: 2023 Nissan Livina will be making its Philippine debut next week
Earlier this year, Toyota launched the all-new Avanza while Mitsubishi revealed the facelifted Xpander. Hyundai, on the other hand, confirmed that the Stargazer is coming to the Philippines.
As for Nissan, they have just confirmed they will be launching an MPV of their own. Set to be revealed on September 6, 2022, is the all-new Nissan Livina. That’s right, after being spotted weeks ago being transported via a truck carrier, the automaker has confirmed that the MPV will be revealed very soon.
The Nissan Livina will go up against the likes of the Toyota Avanza, Suzuki Ertiga, and its own twin, the Mitsubishi Xpander. For those unfamiliar, the Livina is actually based on the Xpander but comes with its own features that are unique only to Nissan.
The exact specifications of the all-new Nissan Livina are not yet available. But according to government certifications we found, there could be a total of three variants available. All models will be powered by a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine shared with the Xpander that makes 104 PS. All variants will also come with 16-inch alloy wheels
The first variant is most likely the base model as it’s paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and will measure 4475mm long, 1750mm wide, and 1700mm tall. Meanwhile, the second variant comes with the same dimensions but has a 4-speed automatic, meaning it might the mid-range model. Last but not least, the third variant also comes with a 4-speed automatic but will be 2mm longer which means this could be the top-of-the-line variant.
Pricing and features are still a mystery for the 2023 Nissan Livina for the Philippines. But since it’s set to debut next week, we can expect more details about the all-new MPV very soon. What we do know is that the compact MPV market is about to get heated once more after Nissan officially takes the covers off the 2023 Livina.
