Back to normal: NLEX opens all four lanes in Marilao, resumes toll collection
No more free toll as NLEX Marilao NB back to normal operations

NLEX Corporation has announced that all four lanes of the Marilao northbound are back to normal operations and has lifted the toll fee holiday from Balintawak to Meycauayan—barely 4 days from heeding to the free toll demand of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Last March 19, the Northbound portion of the Marilao interchange bridge sustained heavy damage after it was hit by a truck that was found to have exceeded the maximum vertical clearance of the expressway. This caused major traffic for northbound motorists and also heavily affected the surrounding areas.
Initially, NLEX Corp. said repairs could take up to three weeks, which prompted DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon to order NLEX to announce a toll holiday as repairs are being done. But after days of non-stop repair works in the interchange bridge, NLEX was able to finish ahead of schedule.

“Starting 6 AM on Friday, March 28, the northbound portion of the expressway from Balintawak to Meycauayan is back to normal operations. All four lanes at the Marilao northbound area are fully open,” said NLEX Corporation.
With this in mind, northbound motorists can now breathe a sigh of relief especially with the summer season and Holy Week coming up in a few weeks.
